Secret Base (full name Alpha Gang Secret Base) is a location in North America in the DS game first visited in the Postgame.

Description[]

Map - Secret Base

Secret Base Map

Accessed through northeast East Dust Hills in the southeast; though not containing a boss battle, Detective Dory can be cornered in the center west. The Alpha Droids marked "required" in this location are only required for the extended Dory sidequest, not the Alpha Gang rematches.

Story[]

Postgame

Entering to find the thief suspected to be Detective Dory, the player must agree to retrieve the Archaeopteryx Fossil stolen from an explorer, trending northwest through the branching dead-end maze of halls and tunnels until finding it among the cluster of northwest item cases. After returning it, head back in to spy Dory sneaking back to the treasure room only to find Holiday on his trail; as the player heads further in to find Sheriff Watt as well, he will direct the player past the second required Alpha Droid. They will find another fence, ramming it to knock out Dory, who was hiding behind it. However, as Watt and Holiday escort him to the entrance, Dory has somehow replaced himself with the explorer, taunting the Sheriffs from the shadows. Vowing to catch him someday, Watt deputizes the boys with another Sheriff's Badge.
