Saurolophinae is one of the major subfamilies of Hadrosauridae, the other being Lambeosaurinae. (This group was known as "Hadrosaurinae" until 2010, when it was discovered that Hadrosaurus itself rarely appeared in this group. The group was renamed "Saurolophinae", and Hadrosaurinae now contains only Hadrosaurus.) Saurolophinae includes the 'crestless' and 'solid-crested duckbills', possessing either no visible head crest or one or more small, solid crests (typically horn-like) on their heads. Several "clusters" within this group include Brachylophosaurini, Edmontosaurini, Saurolophini, and the "gryposaurs".

As ornithopods, saurolophines are Grass Dinosaurs.
