The pterosaurs were a diverse group of flying reptiles closely related to dinosaurs that first appeared in the Triassic Period. (Being extremely diverse and numerous, only those few species from Dinosaur King are listed on this page.)
Pterosaurs only appear in Move Cards from the Normal and Grass Elements. Their native Element, if they have one, is never indicated in any media. (Despite some being in Grass Moves, no other Grass Assist Dinosaurs natively belonging to Grass. Due to the fact that pterosaurs have a connection to air through their ability to fly, it is pobssible that their native Element is Wind, whereby the similar animation of Anhanguera Dive in the anime against Ace could indicate that Anhanguera as playable Wind Dinosaur could convincingly use the Move Ninja Attack. Alternatively, the native Element of the Pterosauria could also be Water, based on the fact that many pterosaurs lived on coasts and ate fish, a similar reasoning to the spinosaurids. Of course, due to their uniquely air-only battle style, it's entirely possible they exist only in a support role, thereby being Normal by default and unable to have their own separate Dinosaur Cards.)
