The Search For the Last Cosmos Stone is the 28th episode of the 2nd season.

Plot

The D-Team are unable to beat Spectre and Brontikens, and he makes a volcano erupt with Spectral Destroy. The Space Pirates flee and so do the D-Team, however, Dr. Z and the Alpha Gang stay behind until Helga grabs them and takes them up. Before they leave, Dr. Z sees a mammoth swallow the Black Cosmos Stone and Max tracks the mammoth to 3 years before the present, his summer trip. They manage to find the stone before the S-Team and Spectre offers to trade the stone to the Space Pirates in exchange for their parents. They accept, but cannot allow Spectre to get all 7 Cosmos Stones so they create a false stone and the Space Pirates are tricked. However, the Space Pirates instead give them Gel Jarks and the D-Team are captured before Seth reveals the stone is a fake. When Spectre orders Seth to bring the D-Team to him, Seth sends the Gel Jarks straight at the Backlander and lets Jonathan beam them up. Then, he looks at another Gel Jark with the other 6 Cosmos Stones, revealing himself as a traitor! The S-Team tries to stop him, but he defeats them all with Cryolophosaurus by freezing their dinos with Blizzard Smash. Seth escapes on the Backlander and orders the Gel Jarks to inprison the Alpha Gang! He goes after the Black Cosmos Stone and gets it, but then, Spectre's ship rams onto the Backlander and Helga rescues the D-Team and the Alpha Gang by using salt to melt the Gel Jarks. Max goes after Seth while Rod and Laura throw salt - the Gel Darks' only weakness - on them. Seth summons Cryolophosaurus and Max summons Chomp. Max tells Chomp to prepare for the battle of their lives.

Brontikens has been summoned.

Paris rams against Brontikens, but is knocked back. Brontikens slams Ace into the ground. Gigas, Armatus, and Maximus attack Chomp.

Brontikens rams into the volcano, while Chomp battles Gigas, Ace battles Maximus and Paris battles Armatus. Chomp tries to attack Brontikens, but is knocked back. Ace and Paris try to help, but Maximus and Armatus stop them.

Brontikens attacks the Alpha Gang and then hits the volcano with Spectral Destroy. The blast causes the volcano to erupt and they all flee.

Seth vs. Spectral Space Pirates

On Spectre's command, Gavro flies up to Seth and summons Gigas, but Seth summons Cryolophosaurus, who jumps over Gigas and then knocks his legs out from under him from behind. Foolscap and Sheer then summon Armatus and Maximus.

Armatus and Gigas try to ram Cryolophosaurus between them, but Cryolophosaurus jumps away and the other two smash their heads against each other. Cryolophosaurus then hits Maxmus into the air and rams him several times before kicking him into the ground.

Gavro, Foolscap and Sheer activate their respective Spectral Moves, and their dinos charge Cryolophosaurus, but Seth has it use Blizzard Smash to freeze them and win the battle.
