Headquarters (also called Alpha Gang Headquarters or Alpha Gang HQ) is a location in Antarctica in the DS game first visited in Chapter 4.
Description[]

Headquarters Map
Accessed from Polar Point in the center south; it links to the Command Center in the center north. Despite being a later area and the villain's lair, it is partially a peaceful location, still requiring the player to obtain its map from an item case and having static battles, but having no drilling spots or random Alpha Droid encounters.
Story[]
Seeking to rescue Zoe from Dr. Z and stop the Reaper's Wrath meteor, the player is immediately blocked by Laura. After defeating Laura (2), the player discovers a grid of static Alpha Droids and Alpha Gang bosses, only the nearest starting as available and requiring an enemy either in front of or beside (but not behind) them to be defeated before becoming accessible themselves by having the dividing fences removed. Defeating an unclear portion of the Alpha Gang bosses removes the column in the center to open more pathways. Ed (2), Rod (2), Zander (2), and Ursula (2) must be defeated in any order to unlock access to Seth (2), defeating whom opens the way to the Command Center; having defeated all 6 static Alpha Droids at or after this point (before the postgame) will unlock access to two more item cases. When the player attempts to enter the Command Center, they see a brief vision of the approaching Reaper's Wrath meteor.
Following his defeat and escape, Dr. Z leaves via the Headquarters' platform grid, vowing revenge on the D-Team, and to one day finally ride on a dinosaur's back.
Returning to retrieve the final Stone Fragment again after the first round of Alpha Gang rematches (battle (3)'s) pits the player against 12 static Alpha Droids in (and just before and after) the grid with the fences and column returned, defeating six of whom removes the center column, and ten of whom opens the way to the Command Center; defeating all unlocks the same two item cases in case they were not accessed before.
Returning again later during the second round of Alpha Gang rematches (battle (4)'s), and the Headquarters is empty, providing no barrier to accessing the Command Center.
