Dinosaur King

Edmontosaurus has had a very long and convoluted fossil history, with its species at many points overlapping with those of many questionable or now-invalid creatures such as Agathaumas, Anatosaurus, Anatotitan, Claosaurus, Diclonius, Hadrosaurus, Thespesius, Trachodon, and Ugrunaaluk. It has also been recently discovered to have had a crest-like mass of soft tissue on the top of its head.

Trivia[]

  • Dr. Taylor's arcade comments:
    • Original: はばの広いクチバシを持ち、デンタルバッテリーとよばれる歯で植物をすりつぶして食べていた。
    • Translation: It has a wide beak, it grinds the plant with its teeth.
  • Along with Metriacanthosaurus, Agustinia, Piatnitzkysaurus (as a Dinosaur Card), and Olorotitan, it is one of the last new dinosaurs released in the arcade, debuting in the final wave.
    • Oddly, it seems to have debuted in the TCG about a year earlier.
  • Though only debuting in the last wave, Edmontosaurus was seen on the previous wave's Thunder Driver and Thorn Whip cards.
  • Edmontosaurus and Olorotitan are the last new Grass Dinosaurs in Dinosaur King.
  • Despite only having one card, it had three Types in the arcade game data, only one of which was legitimately accessible, likely indicating it was once meant to have been given more cards, possibly in cancelled further releases.
