Diplodocidae was a family of diplodocoid sauropods. They were close relatives of the dicraeosaurids within the clade Flagellicaudata. Diplodocids had long necks and tails, and were some of the longest of all dinosaurs, though their slender nature made them relatively lightweight for their size.
As sauropods, diplodocids are Water Dinosaurs.
