Trivia[]

  • Dr. Taylor's arcade comments:
    • Japanese: 中国で発見されたパラサウロロフスにたとさかを持つ大型の草食恐竜だ。
    • English: A large herbivore discovered in China. It has a crest similar to that of a Parasaurolophus.
    • Taiwanese: 在中國被發現的,有著很像副龍櫛龍的頭冠的大型草食恐龍。
  • DS Game Encyclopedia entry: TBD
  • It is the third silver rarity Grass Dinosaur card in the arcade.
  • The roar of Charonosaurus in the arcade game resembles that of Parasaurolophus in the mobile game Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter.
  • Charonosaurus is in the unusual position of having more distinct Taiwanese cards (two) than Japanese cards, having only 1 Japanese card and also featuring in a Taiwan-only wave with no parallels.
    • It also has more distinct TCG cards (two, plus a Colossal Rare) than Japanese arcade cards, none of which use any arcade art.
  • Though included in the DS game, it is an EX Dinosaur not available nor (seemingly) even visible within normal gameplay.
  • The Colossal Rare Grazing Charonosaurus erroneously spells "Charonosaurus" as "Charanosaurus", while the Silver Rare version spells it correctly (at least in the French version).
  • The Charonosaurus model is a modified Parasaurolophus model.
