Ceratosauria is a relatively basal (primitive compared to the farthest extent) branch of theropods from the Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods. While it originally included the coelophysoids and the dilophosaurids, these groups are no longer considered ceratosaurs, and as it stands now, the exact origins of this group are uncertain. Many of them had head ornamentation. This group includes an assortment of uncertainly classified members, with the noasaurids and abelisaurids being advanced families.

Ceratosaurians are split between the Wind and Fire Elements.
