The anime for Dinosaur King aired in Japan from February 2007 to August 2008, with the 4Kids English dub airing in the USA from September 2007 to April 2010. Reruns of the 4Kids English dub started playing on KidsClick in the USA starting February 5th, 2018.

Season 1 features the story of the D-Team: Max Taylor, Rex Owen, Zoe Drake, and their dinosaur companions Chomp, Ace, and Paris, as they fight against rampaging dinosaurs appearing around the world to keep the public safe from the dinosaurs and to keep the dinosaurs safe from the Alpha Gang, a group trying to capture these dinosaurs to be used for their own purposes.

Season 2 features the appearance of the Spectral Space Pirates and the hunt across time for the Cosmos Stones, powerful objects with a connection to the dinosaurs that could be used to control or destroy the universe.
